Highway PR-22 Lane Expansion Contract Awarded to Local Construction Firm

The Puerto Rico Highways and Transportation Authority awarded a 38-million-dollar contract to expand two lanes on PR-22 between Arecibo and Barceloneta, a project expected to ease chronic congestion on the island’s main western corridor. Construction is slated to begin in September and finish within 18 months.
