As part of the Miss Universe pageant to be held in Puerto Rico in November, international contestants will bring a donated item from their countries to be auctioned off to benefit SER de Puerto Rico. The initiative, called 'Regalos del Universo', aims to raise funds for the institution, which was selected by Governor Jenniffer González Colón due to its decades-long commitment to serving Puerto Rican families.
Each contestant will bring an object representative of their country, such as artwork, handicrafts, or traditional items, to be auctioned off, with 100% of the funds going to SER de Puerto Rico. The event is part of the pageant's special programming and will take place at SER de Puerto Rico, where the contestants will participate in the auction.
According to Willianette Robles, executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, the event is an opportunity to promote Puerto Rico while supporting a local institution that has transformed lives on the island.
