Gíbaro de Puerto Rico, a cultural organization, is participating in the 31st International Folklore Festival in the Villa de Ingenio, Canary Islands, sharing the stage with delegations from Armenia, Bulgaria, Taiwan, Ivory Coast, Greece, and Spain. The festival's opening ceremony, attended by hundreds, celebrated cultural diversity through music, dance, and traditions. Gíbaro de Puerto Rico's participation aims to project Puerto Rico's rich cultural heritage to an international audience through music, dance, and traditional expressions.

The festival also features Jornadas Etnográficas, a space for cultural exchange and reflection. Eric M. González, Gíbaro's director, stated that the festival demonstrates how folklore unites people in a single voice.

Gíbaro de Puerto Rico, a non-profit organization, has been promoting Puerto Rican folklore for over 50 years.
