The Teatro Breve company will host a comedy night, 'JajaPaluza Vol.1', at the Teatro Tapia in Old San Juan on September 11, 2026, to benefit the Escuela Montessori San Cristóbal in Caguas. The event will feature improvisational theater and stand-up comedy with the participation of Puerto Rican comedian Kiko Blade and the members of 'Noches de Impro' from Teatro Breve, conducted by actor and comedian JC Martínez.
The Escuela Montessori San Cristóbal, founded in 2014 as a non-profit organization, aims to provide sensitive education to children who have experienced neglect and abuse. The school's executive director, Ruth Melián, explained that the institution was created to address the need for alternative education methods, and the Montessori philosophy was chosen for its ability to understand the situation of these children.
The comedy night is open to the general public and aims to support the education and well-being of children in Puerto Rico.
