Puerto Rican singer Chucho Avellanet will celebrate Christmas early with his show 'Todo el año es Navidad con Chucho' on September 13, 2026, at the Centro de Bellas Artes de Santurce. Avellanet, who loves the festive atmosphere of Christmas, will perform with the Tuna de Cayey, the Cantores de San Juan, and his orchestra, directed by Martín Nieves.
The show will feature a mix of Christmas songs and some of Avellanet’s most remembered hits, such as 'Magia blanca' and 'Jamás te olvidaré'. At 85 years old, Avellanet has been active in his career for over six decades and has represented Puerto Rico in the 1972 Festival OTI. He attributes his continued relevance to being consistent and always being present, saying 'if you quit, people forget you'.
