Evangelist Jorge Raschke Blasts Lying Politicians at Capitol Prayer Rally, Family Rift Surfaces

Published Sep 7, 2026 · via El Nuevo Día

Evangelist Jorge Raschke led the 53rd edition of the "Clamor a Dios" event on Monday from a stage on the north side of Puerto Rico's Capitol, running from 10:00 a.m. to past 2:00 p.m. Without naming names, Raschke criticized politicians who "lie to rise to power" and then reveal their true selves, urging the public to stay informed. He argued the Legislative Assembly, not La Fortaleza or the Supreme Court, holds "the true political power" because voters directly elect lawmakers.

Unlike previous years, no politicians attended. Former senator Kimmey Raschke Martínez, one of Raschke's two daughters, served as main speaker and introduced her father. Meanwhile, his other daughter, Kathy Raschke Martínez, who is estranged from him, posted a public call for reconciliation on social media beforehand, saying she came "with love and humility" to show fractures can heal.

She traveled from Orlando to attend, but a video later showed event security blocking her from seeing her father and asking her to leave, prompting her to say, "This isn't of God."
