Loyola Athletic Club of Río Piedras has been declared the champion of the 2026 open water swimming season, organized by the Puerto Rican Swimming Federation. The season, which began in February at Balneario Punta Salinas in Toa Baja, concluded with the same venue hosting the final event.
The Open Water Commission of the Swimming Federation held four events throughout 2026. Loyola Athletic Club took the top spot in the overall standings, followed by Titanes Swimming Club of Morovis and Juana Díaz Swimming Team in third.
The president of the Federation, Andrés Solivan, thanked the Autonomous Municipality of Toa Baja and its mayor, Bernardo 'Betito' Márquez García, for their support and collaboration. Solivan congratulated the teams on a great season and acknowledged the hard work of athletes, coaches, and families behind each position.
