Nissan Puerto Rico has launched an initiative to promote local coffee consumption through its 'Mi Nissan, Mi Isla' program. The program, available through the 'Mi Nissan al Día' app, offers discounts and promotions at participating coffee shops and businesses across the island. The initiative focuses on the mountainous region where most of the island's coffee production takes place, including municipalities such as Adjuntas, Maricao, Ciales, Lares, and Yauco.

Participating businesses include D'Ponké in Cayey, Local Café, and Café Dos Caminos, a Puerto Rican coffee brand created by entrepreneurs Anthony 'El Tony' Cáceres and Juan Víctor 'Don Juan del Campo' Feliciano. The program also highlights experiences such as Hacienda Moraica in Orocovis, which offers tours of its coffee production process. According to Laura Rosario, Marketing Manager at Nissan Puerto Rico, the program aims to connect customers with local businesses and products that make the island special.

The coffee harvest season, which runs from August to January, is an opportunity to promote local consumption and support the island's agricultural industry.
