Puerto Rico police are investigating the violent death of Yandiel A. Uribe Bonilla, 17, who was killed Thursday night on a basketball court in the El Cortijo neighborhood of Bayamón. According to a preliminary report, a 911 call alerted police to gunshots in the area; when officers arrived, they found the minor's body showing multiple gunshot wounds that caused instant death.
The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation. Agents from the Homicide Division of the Bureau of Criminal Investigations (CIC) in Bayamón are handling the case in coordination with prosecutor Aileen González.
