The Centennial Committee of Catalino 'Tite' Curet Alonso will host a panel discussion titled 'Tite and Social Song' at the University of Puerto Rico, where artists and academics will discuss the social content of Tite Curet's songs, which denounce injustices and abuses. The panel will feature Prof. Silverio Pérez, Dra. Zoraida Santiago, Dr. Hiram Guadalupe, and Prof. Jorge Arce, with Dr. Carlos Sánchez as moderator and journalist Manolo Coss as master of ceremonies.
The event is part of the centennial celebration program, which will run until February 2027, and is organized in collaboration with the Faculty of General Studies, the Social Research Center, and Radio Universidad de Puerto Rico. The panel will take place on September 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Anfiteatro #3 of the Faculty of General Studies, University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus.
