The San Juan Municipality held the fifth edition of the Premios Victoria Espinosa, recognizing artists and professionals in the performing arts who participated in the 'Teatro en 15 Minutos' program. The ceremony honored talent in various areas, including acting, directing, production, and technical disciplines. Ken Burgos received the Premio Promesa 2026 for his work in Puerto Rican theater and his commitment to teaching and creating opportunities for other artists.
The event was dedicated to Pascual Febus Pica, director of 'Teatro en 15', for his over five decades of work in the performing arts. San Juan Mayor Miguel A. Romero Lugo emphasized the importance of creating spaces for artist development and recognition, stating that investing in artists is also investing in the city's culture and identity.
The director of the Department of Art and Culture, Víctor Rivera, highlighted the talent present in this edition of the program.
