The Puerto Rico Fashion Week (PRFW) announced its fourth edition, to be held from October 12 to 18 at El San Juan Hotel in Isla Verde. The event will focus on showcasing emerging talent and developing the fashion industry in Puerto Rico. Local designers Jaer Cabán, José Raúl, Edd Aponte, Juan Carlos Collazo, and Elier Aubret will present their collections, along with international guests Mar Beltrán from Colombia, Loren Cabrero from the Dominican Republic, and Bryan Quan from Guatemala.
Zuleika Zayas, founder of PRFW, aims to position Puerto Rico as a regional fashion hub. The event is supported by Law 155-2024, which promotes the development of the fashion industry in Puerto Rico. The PRFW will also feature presentations by fashion students from local schools and universities, including the 'El Alfiler' project and the final of the 'The Emerging Puerto Rico' competition. Designer Lisa Thon highlighted the importance of integrating fashion universities and showcasing emerging talent.
