The Government of Puerto Rico proclaimed World Heart Day, observed on September 29, to promote education and awareness about cardiovascular diseases, prevention, early detection, and access to medical care. Representatives from Bristol Myers Squibb and health professionals participated in the proclamation ceremony, which aims to strengthen knowledge about heart diseases and their impact on public health.
Oswaldo Bernal, general manager of Bristol Myers Squibb Puerto Rico, reiterated the company's commitment to collaborating with different sectors to improve knowledge about these diseases and support efforts for patients and their families in Puerto Rico. The World Heart Federation established World Heart Day to raise awareness and mobilize efforts to bring a message of prevention and knowledge about cardiovascular health to the public.
