Osmel Sousa, known as the 'Zar de la belleza', believes Vicky Carbonell, Puerto Rico's representative in the Miss Grand International 2026 pageant in Thailand, is a strong candidate. Carbonell has been performing well in various competitions, including the talent contest where she made it to the 'Top 7' and the swimsuit competition where she stood out.
Sousa praised her figure, runway skills, and curly hair. Carbonell, a young singer with no prior experience in beauty pageants, had previously competed in the Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2026 and made it to the semifinals. She will have a closed-door interview with the jury on October 1, followed by the national costume competition on October 5, the preliminary round on October 7, and the final gala on October 10.
