McDonald's Puerto Rico is hosting its fourth annual 'Gran día' event, where 100% of Big Mac sales on October 2 will go to two non-profit organizations, Casa Ronald McDonald and Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico. These organizations work to promote the well-being of children and youth, and provide assistance in various important circumstances.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico president Alma Frontera stated that the event is 'critical help' for her organization, which serves over 19,500 children and community members across the island. The organization has 26 centers that provide services such as early childhood education, after-school programs, mental health support, and food assistance. The public can also contribute to the cause by purchasing symbolic hearts for $1.
The event's slogan is 'Cada Big Mac ayuda' (Each Big Mac helps), and all McDonald's restaurants in Puerto Rico will participate.
