Nobu, a luxury hospitality brand, will open its first hotel in Puerto Rico, the Nobu Hotel and Restaurant San Juan, with 50 rooms, in 2028. The hotel will be developed in partnership with real estate firm KTT and will feature a Nobu restaurant and bar on the ground floor, as well as a rooftop bar.
The project will combine hotel services with Nobu's gastronomic concepts and will offer rooms, cultural experiences, and a service model inspired by the Japanese concept of omotenashi. The exact location, investment amount, room rates, and opening date have not been disclosed. Nobu's CEO, Trevor Horwell, stated that San Juan's unique blend of culture, history, and energy made it an attractive location for the project.
The hotel will be designed to integrate elements of San Juan's historic and cultural character with Nobu's contemporary aesthetic. KTT's director, Joakim Lehmkuhl, highlighted the importance of San Juan's cultural and historical significance in attracting the project. Nobu currently has 20 hotels worldwide, including locations in Madrid, Marrakech, and Las Vegas.
