Woman Arrested for Allegedly Causing Damage in Domestic Violence Incident

Natalaishka I. Torres, a 25-year-old woman, was arrested and charged with crimes under Law 54 after allegedly causing damage to a balcony and a 2021 Nissan Versa vehicle in Río Piedras, San Juan. The incident occurred on September 30, 2026, at the victim's residence and is being treated as a case of gender-based violence. Torres was unable to pay the $15,000 bail and was taken to the Women's Rehabilitation Complex in Bayamón.

Judge Lisa M. Durán of the San Juan Tribunal evaluated the case presented by prosecutor Shana Gould and determined that there was sufficient cause for the complaint of mistreatment. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a later date. According to the investigation, Torres allegedly caused damage to the balcony area and the vehicle during the incident.
