AAA has not mentioned the plan in 19 days. Its last press release on the rotation was August 14, and the plan is still published. Checked automatically against AAA’s plan page, press releases and notices.

What the Governor and AAA said, and where

Scheduled interruptions PAUSED. Gov. Jenniffer González Colón announced on the evening of Sept. 1 a 48–72 hour pause for Carraízo customers (Zones 1 and 2) after the reservoir rose past the observación line. AAA never cancelled the plan and has never announced its resumption either, so the pause has now outlasted its announced length many times over. RE-VERIFIED 2026-09-17 against AAA's own channels, all four of which say the same thing by saying nothing: the plan page still publishes the Sergio Cuevas plan and its PDF is unchanged since Aug. 5 (no revision, no cancellation); AAA's press-release archive has not mentioned the metro rotation since Aug. 8, with the newest releases (Sept. 10–15) about other plants entirely; @AcueductosPR's last 50 posts carry no Zone 1 or Zone 2 interruption notice; and AAA's own Sept. 14 drought-committee post reports rain raising Carraízo and La Plata with no mention of resuming. Carraízo stood at 40.06 m that morning — the seguridad band, 0.36 m below desborde and up 0.99 m in seven days. NOTE WHAT THIS IS NOT: AAA has not SAID the rotation is over, and an absence of notices is not an announcement. Treat the plan as dormant, not ended, and verify with AAA before planning around it.

Getting through the rotation

  1. Before your zone’s window closes, store what you’ll need — ready.gov figures one gallon per person per day, more for children, the sick, and pets. Fill containers you can seal.
  2. While your sector is dry, 40 oasis and refill points are mapped below — AAA’s run 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., municipal hours vary by town. And a running leak is water nobody gets: report breaks to AAA at (787) 620-2482 or acueductospr.com.
  3. When service returns, run cold taps until the water comes through clear. If in doubt about quality, CDC guidance is a rolling boil for one minute before drinking.
  4. Afterward, watch your bill — AAA has adjusted bills for customers left without service before. Keep track of your sector’s dry days.

      The distribution network of the Dos Millones pump station in #Arecibo continues to gradually recover from the hours of yesterday after the repair work at the power substation was completed. The gradual system restore isined for customers in Hato Arriba and is being worked to recover the service in the Dominguito area in #Arecibo, as well as in Pajuil, Las Piñas, Campo Alegre, Buena Vista in #Hatillo and neighboring communities in both municipalities. Brigades areined in the distribution networks by repairing outlets and making adjustments in the pumps to accelerate the restore to the high and distant areas of the system.

      La red de distribución de la estación de bombas Dos Millones en #Arecibo continúa recuperando gradualmente desde horas de la noche de ayer luego de completadas las labores de reparación en la subestación eléctrica.
