Manny Manuel turned the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot into a merengue celebration on Saturday night with his show 'Rey de Corazones’. He opened with the title song, then ran through hits including 'Distanciado', 'Maniquí', 'Pero qué necesidad', 'Estrellita' and 'Sé que vas a llorar'. Backed by a trio, he performed 'Bajo un palmar' and 'Querube', followed by 'Y lloras por mí', 'Dicen que los hombres’ and 'La Sinvergüenza'.
The evening included tributes to female voices: he sang 'Ya te olvidé' in homage to Los Sabrosos del Merengue, 'Quiero que me haga el amor' and 'Lo que son las cosas’ for Ednita Nazario, and Yolandita Monge’s 'El amor' and 'Débil'. Guest Lourdes Robles joined him for 'Lo amo' and also sang 'Abrázame fuerte'; Manuel sang 'Happy Birthday' to her during the show.
With Jay Fonseca he performed 'Escúchame'. The set continued with 'Si una vez', an instrumental segment by the orchestra, and 'Cómo duele', 'Mi problema' and 'Se acabó lo que se daba'. The show was produced by Alexandra Fuentes.
