A man was the victim of an armed carjacking reported at 10:40 PM on Monday at the fishermen’s area of Playa Azul, in Luquillo, Puerto Rico. According to the police report, the complainant was fishing with a family member when several individuals with their faces covered got off a motorcycle and approached them. Using intimidation and threats with firearms, the robbers took several cell phones, wallets with personal documents, and the keys to a vehicle.
The assailants then fled in a gray 2022 Hyundai Tucson with license plate JYE-641, owned by the victim. The Robbery Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of Fajardo is investigating the case.
