Clinical psychologist Roxany Rivera-Hernández will hold, for the second consecutive year, the gathering "Transitando el Duelo Gestacional, Perinatal y Neonatal" on Sunday, October 25, at Le Parc Condominium in San Juan. The free event, part of October’s pregnancy-loss awareness activities, aims to offer guidance and support to women, couples and families who have lost a baby during pregnancy or after birth.

It will include talks, orientation and opportunities to share experiences, providing skills for coping with grief and fostering greater understanding of these losses. Rivera-Hernández said many people who experience pregnancy loss feel their pain is not understood or recognized by those around them, and that the gathering offers a safe space to speak without being judged and a reminder that they are not alone.

She added that each person grieves differently, there is no correct way or set time to go through it, and society should learn to listen and accompany with empathy. The activity will count on the collaboration of The TEARS Foundation, The Luna’s Project, Proyecto CRYA and A LA BRASCHI.
