The Economic Development Bank for Puerto Rico (BDE) received a delegation of 40 business leaders, corporate executives, government officials, and representatives from various industries in Central Florida as part of the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando's 2026 Executive Mission. The visit aimed to strengthen economic relations between Puerto Rico and the state of Florida, identify investment and business expansion opportunities, and promote strategic alliances in key sectors such as health, infrastructure, technology, advertising, and labor.

The mission highlighted the deep economic, social, and cultural ties between the two jurisdictions, with over 50% of Central Florida's Hispanic population being of Puerto Rican origin. According to the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando, this connection continues to drive the exchange of talent, capital, investment, and business opportunities between Puerto Rico and the US mainland.

The BDE views the relationship between Puerto Rico and Florida as one that continues to strengthen year after year, with shared talent, entrepreneurs, and organizations generating economic activity in both markets.
