Equestrian Sport Celebrates Four Certified Riders for Santo Domingo 2026

The equestrian sport in Puerto Rico is celebrating the certification of four riders to participate in the jumping modality at the Central American and Caribbean Games, Santo Domingo 2026. The executive of the Puerto Rico Olympic Committee confirmed that Freddie Vázquez, Mark Watring, Vasco Flores, and Cristina Padilla will be competing in the event, which will take place at the Centro Ecuestre Palmarejo in the Dominican Republic.

The competition will award 12 medals, including four gold, four silver, and four bronze, in categories such as speed, team, individual, and overall individual. The event is scheduled to take place from August 3 to 6.

Mildred Colón, president of the Puerto Rican Equestrian Sports Federation, congratulated the riders on their achievement and wished them the best of luck in the international competition, expressing confidence that they will represent Puerto Rico with excellence, discipline, and pride.
