A 18-year-old tourist from Texas was robbed of a gold chain in Old San Juan on Friday afternoon. According to the San Juan Municipal Police, the incident was reported around 5:00 p.m. on San Francisco Street.
The victim claimed that someone pulled the chain from his neck while he was bending down to tie his shoes. The chain, which had a medal, was valued at approximately $800.
The San Juan Municipal Police are investigating the incident. The victim reported the crime, and the police are looking into the matter.
