Eddie Casiano, the leader of the Atléticos de San Germán, used social media to clarify the situation of reinforcement player Montrezl Harrell, who has not played for the team in a week due to a knee injury. Harrell, 32, attended a BIG3 league game in California, sparking doubts among fans about his return to the team.
However, Casiano stated that Harrell had agreed to return to Puerto Rico next week to continue his rehabilitation. Casiano took responsibility for the decision to sign Harrell and expressed his commitment to supporting his players.
Harrell averages 16.7 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 28 games and was a key player in the team's success, helping them become the first to qualify for the postseason. The Atléticos de San Germán have lost two games without Harrell and currently hold a 20-11 record in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) league.
