Agents from the Motorized Unit and the Division of Intelligence and Special Arrests in Bayamón arrested Jorge Serrano Díaz, 54, who had five outstanding arrest warrants for aggravated illegal appropriation and shoplifting. The arrest occurred during a preventive patrol on Road 167 in Bayamón. Serrano Díaz had a global bail of $25,000 and was charged with violating articles 182 and 184 of the Penal Code.
The arrest was carried out by agents Giovanny Acevedo and John Annable. Serrano Díaz had pending charges for illegal appropriations committed at the Sephora store in Plaza Del Sol, Bayamón. He was taken before Judge Carolina Guzmán Tejada of the Bayamón Tribunal and admitted to the Bayamón Regional Jail.
The arrest was a result of a collaborative effort between the Motorized Unit and the Division of Intelligence and Special Arrests.
