VOCES Puerto Rico has launched the InviCible campaign, an educational and awareness initiative about hepatitis C, which includes a massive collection of socks in good condition to benefit vulnerable populations, such as homeless individuals, those in recovery from substance use, and others. The campaign aims to promote education, prevention, and early detection of hepatitis C, while also providing dignity and second chances to those in need.
Lilliam Rodríguez Capó, principal executive officer of VOCES Puerto Rico, stated that the campaign seeks to go beyond education and make the invisible visible. The collected socks will be distributed among community organizations that provide support and health services to individuals facing social and health challenges.
The InviCible campaign was developed by the advertising agency Lopito, Ileana & Howie to raise awareness about a condition that often remains hidden due to the absence of symptoms. The initiative uses fashion and community action to promote conversations about health, prevention, and access to treatment.
