The Highway Patrol Bureau issued 12,674 fines for violating the Vehicle and Transit Law from June 15 to 21 across the island. During this period, 105 drivers were arrested for driving under the influence, 60 for not having government authorization, and others for obstruction of justice and violating Arms and Controlled Substances laws. The interventions resulted in the seizure of 32 pieces of controlled substances, including 23 fentanyl, as well as 'crack' and marijuana.

Four pistols, a rifle, a revolver, 505 bullets, and 10 chargers were also confiscated. Eight vehicles were seized, and 10 others with pending disappearance cases were recovered, along with four all-terrain vehicles and five motorcycles. The total bail for the cases filed amounted to $40,000.

So far this year, there have been 112 traffic accident deaths, 19 fewer than reported at this time in 2025. The only area where an increase in deaths is observed is among pedestrians, with two more cases, totaling 38 this year. This weekend, five deaths were reported on the roads in Trujillo Alto, Gurabo, Comerío, Río Piedras, and Canóvanas.
