Updated Jun 23, 2026 · via El Nuevo Día

Goodwill will open its fourth store in Puerto Rico on Wednesday at 7:00 a.m. at the Villa María Shopping Center in Manatí. The new store joins existing locations in Plaza Escorial and Los Colobos Shopping Center in Carolina, as well as in Bayamón. According to Goodwill, the new store strengthens the organization's expansion plan in Puerto Rico and provides access to the Goodwill model in the surrounding municipalities.

Kent A. Kramer, President and CEO of Goodwill of Puerto Rico, stated that each new store represents opportunities for people facing employment barriers. The Manatí store will employ over 40 people directly.

The income generated by Goodwill's stores helps fund educational and mission-based programs. The mayor of Manatí, José Sánchez González, expressed enthusiasm for the store's opening, citing the municipality's strategic location and potential for economic development and job creation. Goodwill defines itself as a non-profit organization that provides employment opportunities to vulnerable individuals.
