Marshalls, a discount retailer of clothing, home goods, shoes, and accessories, is preparing to open a new store in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. The new store, located in Plaza del Atlántico, will be the second Marshalls location in Arecibo. A spokesperson for Curzon Puerto Rico, the operators of the mall, confirmed the upcoming opening, stating that it will happen soon, although an exact date has not been announced.
The new store is taking the place of former tenants, including a Kmart, and will join other retailers like Capri and Burlington, as well as restaurants such as Burger King and Church’s Chicken, in the plaza. Marshalls currently operates 21 stores in Puerto Rico, including a temporarily closed location in Bayamón. It is unclear whether the company will continue to operate both Arecibo locations.
