The San Juan YMCA announced the opening of its summer camp for the month of July, targeting families still seeking options after the closure of most summer programs in June. The program is designed for children and youth between the ages of 3 and 17 and aims to provide recreational, sports, and educational experiences in a safe and supervised environment. The camp includes various sports disciplines such as volleyball, basketball, softball, table tennis, racquetball, and archery, as well as recreational and educational activities like crafts, dance, magic, organized games, and agroecology experiences.
According to the organization, this combination allows minors to explore new interests and develop skills in different areas. The camp's director, Zayad Cruet, highlighted that the program is designed to offer meaningful experiences that contribute to the personal growth of participants. The camp will take place from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with an optional extended schedule until 5:30 pm at an additional cost.
The YMCA informed that spaces are limited, urging parents to complete the registration process as soon as possible.
