A tragic incident occurred on Monday afternoon in Peñuelas, where a 64-year-old driver, Eduardo Sánchez Borrero, died after his vehicle fell off a cliff in the Cerro Los Cabros sector of the Cuevas neighborhood. According to the investigation, Sánchez Borrero was driving his 2006 gray Toyota Yaris when he suffered a health issue and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to fall off the cliff.
Paramedics from the Negociado de Emergencias Médicas arrived at the scene and confirmed that Sánchez Borrero had no vital signs. Agent Ángela Vega from the División de Patrullas de Carreteras de Ponce, along with prosecutor Jorge Martínez Rivera, took charge of the investigation.
An autopsy will determine whether Sánchez Borrero's death was caused by a health issue or the accident. The incident occurred in the afternoon, and the authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
