Jac Caglianone Hits Two Home Runs in Royals' 12-5 Win

Jac Caglianone, a player of Puerto Rican descent, continued his strong performance in June by hitting two home runs and driving in three runs in the Kansas City Royals' 12-5 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday night. Luinder Avila of the Royals pitched five innings, allowing three hits and one run, while striking out six batters.

Shane McClanahan of the Rays allowed six runs in six innings, with four of them being unearned. Caglianone hit a solo home run in the first inning and a two-run home run in the fifth, his third multi-home run game this month.

The Royals scored four runs in the fifth inning, taking a 6-2 lead, and added five more runs in the eighth inning. Nick Loftin also hit a home run and drove in two runs for the Royals, who had 14 hits in the game.
