A shooting occurred in the Zenón Díaz Valcárcel residential area in Guaynabo on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the deaths of two people and injuring a third. According to Mayra Ayala, press officer for the Bayamón region of the Police, authorities were alerted to shots fired at 2:57 p.m. and found two men dead near Building 23 of the public housing complex.
A third person was taken to a local hospital with gunshot wounds and is in stable condition. The identities of the victims and the injured person have not been released.
Agent Jorge Meléndez and prosecutor Alberto Cruz are leading the investigation. The incident is being investigated by the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) of Bayamón.
