A 42-year-old man, Jacques Emmanuel Fuentes, was stabbed with a sharp object after allegedly refusing to give money to his attacker in Río Piedras. The incident occurred at approximately 2:06 am on Sunday in front of the El Boricua business on Robles Street.
According to the preliminary report from the Puerto Rico Police, Fuentes claimed that someone approached him asking for money and, after he said he didn't have any, he was attacked, suffering a wound on his right arm and a superficial wound on the right side of his chest. Fuentes was taken to a hospital in San Juan, where his condition was reported as stable.
Municipal police officer Luis Calderón is in charge of the investigation. The incident was reported through the 9-1-1 emergency system, and police arrived at the scene to find Fuentes injured.
