One of Puerto Rico's Most Wanted Arrested in New York

Yaniel Cirino, 33, one of the 12 most wanted fugitives in Puerto Rico, was arrested in Syracuse, New York, by agents from the Division of Special Arrests and Extraditions of the Intelligence and Arrests Bureau. Cirino faces first-degree murder charges with a $1 million bond.

The investigation, led by Agent Héctor Parrilla Freytes, found that Cirino was implicated in the shooting death of 22-year-old Kemuel Vázquez Lozada on November 2, 2017, in the Estancias de Húcares community in Naguabo. After being arraigned before Judge Liza M.

Durán in San Juan, Cirino was unable to post bail and was taken to the Bayamón correctional facility to await a preliminary hearing.
