Astrid Díaz, an architect, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of her project 'Tu casa segura' with a fair from July 30 to August 2 at Plaza Las Américas in Hato Rey. The project aims to provide tips for protecting homes and ensuring family safety against natural threats.
Díaz expressed her pride in the multidisciplinary alliance that has formed over the years, which includes the National Meteorological Service and its director, Ernesto Morales, the Planning Board, the Department of Health, and meteorology expert Deborah Martorell. The fair will feature conferences, workshops, and clinics to promote home safety, as well as a special presentation by the Puerto Rico National Choir.
Díaz highlighted the importance of creating a culture of emergency preparedness, especially with the approaching 10-year anniversary of Hurricane María. The fair expects 175,000 visitors and will also include an exhibition showcasing the project's 25 years of work.
