An effort is underway to document historic sites significant to the LGBTQ+ community in Puerto Rico, aiming to preserve a history that has largely remained invisible. These sites, including a plaza, a building, and a park, were the backdrop for some of the first visibility, activism, and pride efforts by the LGBTQ+ community in Puerto Rico just a few decades ago.
The initiative seeks to understand the country better by shedding light on these often-overlooked aspects of its history.
