According to official figures from the Department of Health, a concerning change has emerged in the dominant dengue serotype in Puerto Rico. After the epidemic between 2024 and 2025, more cases of the DENV-03 serotype have been reported, which had been absent for over 20 years and now represents 100% of the registered infections.
