The Autoridad de Carreteras y Transportación (ACT) announced that it will close one lane on Expreso Las Américas (PR-18) and another on the marginal towards Roosevelt Avenue, in the direction of San Juan, this Thursday, as part of the installation of an impact attenuator at the exit towards Roosevelt Norte. The work will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at kilometer 1.2 of the marginal, with an investment of $30,047.71 in state funds.
The project aims to replace the existing attenuator to reinforce the safety of drivers who transit through this area daily. The ACT urged drivers to use the 'Waze' application to reduce delays and take alternative routes if necessary, and to reduce speed, follow traffic control devices, and be attentive to signs in the construction zone to ensure safety for both drivers and workers.
