Updated Jul 8, 2026 · via El Nuevo Día

A 48-year-old woman filed a complaint with the police, alleging she was a victim of a fraud and threats scheme after contacting someone on TikTok for a supposed 'witchcraft job'. The woman claimed she was asked to send $500 to start the work and later sent an additional $4,000 through Trans Union.

She also provided her address to the alleged scammers. When she refused to send more money, she began receiving threatening messages, leaving her feeling concerned and intimidated.

Agent Elizabeth Orta investigated the complaint and referred the case to the San Juan Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC). The woman reported feeling threatened and fearful for her safety.
