On Thursday morning, two armed men committed a home robbery in the Estancias del Mayoral urbanization in Villalba, fleeing with a safe containing $60,000 in cash. According to the preliminary police report, the incident was reported at 10:36 a.m. when the complainant stated that two individuals dressed in black burst into the home. One of the suspects allegedly pointed a gun at the complainant's son and two nephews, forcing them to stay in the bathroom area.
The second individual then entered the master bedroom and took the safe. The assailants left without causing injuries to the victims. The case was referred to the Robbery Division of the Ponce Criminal Investigations Corps.
The police are investigating the incident.
