Leoner Santiago López, 44, was arrested for allegedly breaking into his aunt's home in San Sebastián, Puerto Rico, and demanding money while threatening her with a fork. According to the police report, López broke the glass on the front door with a rock and then entered the residence, where he aggressively approached his aunt and said, 'Aunt, give me some money.' López allegedly held the fork at his aunt's waist level while gripping her right arm and left wrist. The victim struggled and asked him to release her, but he refused.
López was arrested by an officer from the San Sebastián District and charged with trespassing, aggravated damage, and mistreatment of an elderly person. He was given a $60,000 bond, which he did not pay, and was taken to the Bayamón jail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 23.
Judge Rolando Matos Acevedo of the Aguadilla Tribunal found cause for the arrest.
