A 53-year-old man was the victim of an assault early Monday morning in Santurce, near the La Milagrosa convenience store. According to the victim, he was walking down the street when he was intercepted by an individual who grabbed him by the shirt, threw him to the ground, and repeatedly assaulted him.
The attacker then stole the victim's cell phone, wallet containing personal documents, and $20 in cash before fleeing the scene. The victim, who was left with stable condition, walked to a nearby Centro de Diagnóstico y Tratamiento (CDT) for treatment.
Agent Ana Quiñones from the San Juan CIC took charge of the investigation, which was initiated by Agent Vicente Lugo from the Barrio Obrero Precinct.
