MC Voice Studio presents 'Carnaval del Barrio', a new concert-play that will be performed on July 17 and 24, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. at Abracadabra Café in Santurce. The production combines live concert, theatrical narrative, and community elements to portray life in a Puerto Rican neighborhood from a deeply human, emotional, and cultural perspective.
Inspired by the energy of neighborhoods and the stories that form part of Puerto Rico's collective memory, 'Carnaval del Barrio' explores themes such as identity, migration, hope, economic difficulties, and community resilience. The concert features a Latin and Caribbean repertoire, scenic movement, theater, and live music to create an immersive and emotionally honest experience.
