LUMA Energy will conduct scheduled maintenance and improvement works on the electrical system in four municipalities in Puerto Rico on Thursday, July 16, 2026. The works include new construction, repair, and maintenance of the underground system in Bayamón, repair and replacement of electrical lines and equipment in Toa Baja and Arroyo, and resilience improvement of poles in Humacao.
Residents in the affected areas may experience temporary power outages while the work is completed. LUMA recommended that residents stay informed about any updates related to the work, as the schedule may change due to weather conditions or operational needs.
The company stated that these works are part of the efforts to strengthen the reliability and resilience of Puerto Rico's electrical system.
