Almost a month after the double earthquake that hit Venezuela on June 24, leaving destruction, loss of life, and communities in crisis, Puerto Rico is preparing to respond with a gesture of faith and brotherhood. Organizations Puente de Esperanza, Casa Venezuela, and Nueva Vida 97.7FM are hosting the event 'Unidos por Venezuela', a day of music and prayer, on Sunday, July 19, in front of the Capitol in San Juan.

The event, which will take place from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm, will feature various Christian music artists and a live link with Venezuela to send a message of hope directly to those affected by the tragedy. The organizers are calling on the Puerto Rican community to join the initiative, and all donations collected during the event will be channeled through Casa Venezuela Puerto Rico to support the survivors of the disaster.

According to Wilmer Guédez, pastor and coordinator of Puente de Esperanza, the goal of the event is to tell the Venezuelan people that they are not alone and that Puerto Rico wants to be a bridge between need and provision, accompanying Venezuela in this moment of pain with concrete actions of faith and solidarity.
