Governor Jenniffer González Colón led a coordination exercise, the Puerto Rico Governor's Executive Tabletop Exercise, with federal, state, and private sector representatives to evaluate preparedness and coordination in response to a hurricane. The event, held in coordination with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), used real-life scenarios to assess the readiness of all components.
The exercise focused on the response 24 hours before the possible impact of a Category 1 hurricane. Governor González Colón stated that the exercise aimed to ensure a rapid and accurate response to any emergency.
The event was attended by representatives from federal entities such as the Coast Guard and the Small Business Administration, state agencies, private sector organizations, and non-profit organizations like the Salvation Army. Christopher Hartnett, Administrator of FEMA's Region 2, also attended the event.
