The Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) now has its own official trading cards, thanks to an initiative by José 'Guri' Bellaflores. Bellaflores, a collector of NBA and MLB cards since childhood, wondered why the BSN didn't have its own cards and decided to create them. After a year of negotiations with the league, Bellaflores and narrator Christian Vargas launched the project.
The first collection, by Real Trading Cards, features players from the 2025 season, including native players and reinforcements, as well as mascots and legends like José 'Piculín' Ortiz and Mario 'Quijote' Morales. The cards include player information such as birthdate, height, team, position, and biography. They will be available starting this Friday at the Coliseo Rubén Rodríguez and later at other arenas during the BSN postseason.
Bellaflores and Vargas worked together to gather detailed information for the cards, with Vargas handling the data collection. The cards will feature an image of the player on the front and the information on the back.
