Mellado Productions expressed condolences for the death of Dr. Gunther von Hagens, the German anatomist and creator of the plastination technique, which allowed for the preservation and display of human corpses in exhibitions like 'Body Worlds' and 'Un viaje por el corazón'. Dr. von Hagens passed away on July 24 at the age of 81.

Mellado Productions brought the 'Body Worlds' exhibition to Puerto Rico in 2011, led by Josantonio Mellado Jr. and his father, Josantonio Mellado Romero. The company's statement highlighted the significance of the exhibition as an educational and cultural project, and noted that the encounter with Dr. von Hagens and his colleague, Dr. Angelina Whalley, in 2011 strengthened their collaboration.

Josantonio Mellado Jr. described Dr. von Hagens as a visionary, disciplined, and brave man who challenged traditional scientific teaching methods and educated millions of people. The statement also acknowledged Dr. von Hagens' legacy in changing the way the public understands the human body.
